Nigerian Sexploitation Scam
Nigerian sexploitation scam; no agreement on EU migrants; Top Gear's new presenter
A young man in Britain recently killed himself after being blackmailed by a gang online. Ronan Hughes, a seventeen year old school boy from Northern Ireland, was duped into sending intimate photos online - and then threatened by a gang in Nigeria, who said they'd show the photographs to his friends if he didn't give them lots of money. A threat they then proceeded to carry out. Newsday chats to Jim Gamble, former head of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre in the UK.
European countries have failed to reach an agreement on how to deal with the thousands of asylum seekers arriving in Italy and Greece. The two wanted EU countries to share the responsibility for the migrants - but eastern nations like Poland and Hungary opposed compulsory quotas, while France and Germany wanted those judged to be economic migrants to be returned to their countries of origin.
Top Gear has appointed a new presenter - but who is he?
