Mohed Altrad was born in the Syrian desert, an orphan and in poverty. He does not know how old he is. Now he is a French billionaire and he has just been chosen as Ernst and Young World Entrepreneur of the Year. He tells Peter Day about his extraordinary story and the international company he has created over the past 30 years.
