Has science fiction become too politically correct?
The Hugo Awards are science fiction's most prestigious literary prizes, and it's the fans who choose the nominees - but this year they've become caught up in the culture wars. A slate of books pushed by the so-called "Sad Puppies" fan campaign dominates 2014's nominations list, and that's upset some writers whose books were chosen as part of it. Marko Kloos is the author of Lines of Departure, and he withdrew the novel from consideration for the best novel Hugo.
