What is happening in Donetsk?
As fighting between the Ukrainian army and Russian-backed separatists intensifies in rebel-held Donetsk, we ask Ukrainians on the ground about their hopes for the country.
Fighting between the Ukrainian army and Russian-backed separatists has intensified in rebel-held Donetsk. This morning, at least 13 people were killed when a bus was hit by shelling. And in a separate development, Ukrainian troops withdrew from the main terminal at the airport, which in recent weeks has been the scene of fighting.
With Kiev and Moscow blaming each other over who's responsible for the recent violence, we speak to those who've watched events unfold in Donetsk and we try to capture the country's mood in the aftermath of today's violence. We ask whether Ukraine is returning to a full-scale conflict - and if so, whether or not the international community has the power to stop it.
