Should we allow jihadists who have gone abroad to fight back into their country of origin?
Many who have gone abroad to fight for what they see as a cause no longer want to stay there and are asking to be allowed back home. Should this be allowed?
The BBC news programme where you set the agenda.
Should people who have gone abroad to take up arms and fight for what they see as cause, be allowed back into their country of origin? Many muslims who have gone to fight in Syria no longer want to stay there and are asking to be allowed back home. They will probably face jails sentences if they are allowed back - but should they also be offered deradicalisation programmes? Maybe the stories of their experiences will deter others from going abroad to fight. Or maybe the risk that they pose a danger to the societies that they had left is bigger.
