An Independent Scotland?
Colin Blane charts the build-up to the Scottish independence referendum on 18 September, the day the people of Scotland will decide if they want to remain part of the UK.
Scotland joined in union with England over 300 years ago, but ever since there has been a strand of Scottish opinion demanding independence. On 18 September, Scots will get to vote in a referendum on whether to remain in the United Kingdom.
Our Scotland correspondent Colin Blane assesses the mood in Glasgow and explores the history of the idea of independence.
