Does it make a difference having a woman leader? Angela Merkel has been confirmed as German chancellor for a third term, by a vote in the Bundestag. On Monday Michelle Bachelet was returned to the Chilean presidency. And Denmark's head of government Helle Thorning-Schmidt has been in the news after taking a 'selfie' with Barack Obama and David Cameron at Nelson Mandela's memorial service last week.
There are many countries in the world now with women leaders - including Jamaica, Brazil and Thailand to name just a few. We speak to people living in these countries and ask - does it make a difference having a woman leader? We also discuss whether gender is important when electing world leaders and debate women leaders' portrayal in the media.
