Gay marriage

Many people are reacting to comments by France’s far right leader Marine Le Pen, who paid tribute to a man who killed himself in Notre-Dame cathedral yesterday in protest against the government’s recent decision to legalise gay marriage.

Gay marriage is an issue which continues to divide opinion in France and around the world.

We hear reaction from France, and also from the UK where a similar bill to allow same sex marriage won a vote in the House of Commons yesterday.
