BBC Africa Science Festival
Over To You finds out about the BBC World Service's first Festival of Science from one of Africa's oldest Universities - the University of Makerere in Kampala, Uganda
Over To You finds out about the BBC World Service's first Festival of Science from one of Africa's oldest Universities - the University of Makerere in Kampala, Uganda - and asks two of the people who planned the festival what their aims and hopes had been in dedicating a daily live programme to the subject of science and Africa. We hear how the Festival was received by the audience at the live programmes. We also follow up last week's report on jamming of the World Service, with the news that the BBC has suspended FM broadcasts in Sri Lanka after suffering jamming. A listener also sends in the sound of a jammed programme.
