Music from Iceland

In a special programme, Fiona Talkington goes to Iceland to the Dark Music Days Festival and finds out what's going on in the music scene in the country.

She meets musicians Bara Grimsdottir and Chris Foster who are immersing themselves in the Rimur tradition; she visits the home of the Bedroom Community label - so important in contemporary music in Iceland; Hafdis Bjarnadottir explains how she turns her knitting patterns into music; and no programme on Icelandic music would be complete without a little something from Sigur Ros.
