Syria and Greece
Pascale Harter with dispatches from Ian Pannell, sifting through the human and urban wreckage around Aleppo; and from Theopi Skarlatos, meeting the migrants keen to leave Patras.
Pascale Harter introduces personal stories, insights, wit and analysis from BBC correspondents and writers around the world. In this edition, Ian Pannell witnesses the devastation and desperation of civil war in Syria, as he sifts through the human and urban wreckage around Aleppo.
Meanwhile, in Greece, there's always someone else who has it worse - Theopi Skarlatos meets some of the migrants who're desperately keen to leave the city of Patras for pastures new in the rest of the EU. Greeks themselves might feel buffeted by the economic crisis, but many have social safety nets which new arrivals could only dream of.
