President Barack Obama has praised a deal reached in the US Congress to avoid the "fiscal cliff" of drastic taxation and spending measures. The deal raises taxes for the wealthy and delays spending cuts for two months. But while Mr Obama said he was fulfilling a campaign pledge in taking the action, others have been critical - reaction on Twitter described it as "garbage" and "a political grab to break Republicans." What do you make of the deal?
