Why do we forgive some world leaders their flaws but not others?
When former US President Bill Clinton made his speech in support of Barack Obama, an American commentator said 'there was love in the air'. But at the Republican National Convention George W Bush wasn't present but made 'a brief video appearance'. Do some politicians get away with more flaws than others - despite all facing challenges in office? Are we more quick to forgive certain politicians than others?
