Tax avoidance is legal but is it morally ok?

All week there's been talk in the UK about tax evasion, ever since the British comedian Jimmy Carr apologised for using a legal offshore tax avoidance scheme.

The K2 scheme in Jersey enabled him to pay as little as 1 per cent tax.

Today a senior Jersey politician says it should declare independence from the UK, after the UK government threatened to clamp down on its tax avoidance schemes.
