Reports say at least 50 are dead in Homs after troops resumed shelling. What is happening?
What is going on in Syria? There are reports of at least 50 dead in the city of Homs this morning after troops resumed shelling the city. Some tweets, unconfirmed as yet, suggest rockets are being fired at a rate of up to one per second.
Anti-government activists say it is one of the fiercest assaults yet, and there are also reports of action being taken in Aleppo.
It comes after Russia and China vetoed a UN Security Council motion condemning the Assad regime.
