Somali doctor, Hawa Abdi, relives the harrowing moment when hundreds of armed militia stormed her hospital on the outskirts of the Somali capital. This inspirational woman has battled to keep her hospital open and care for her patients amidst the troubles in the war torn country. Dr Abdi's daughter, Dr Amina Adan describes how helpless she felt when her mother's clinic was seized and she was on the end of the telephone in another country.

When he found out he was dying of terminal cancer he decided to donate his corpse to medical science. He wanted to carry on working after death. His daughter, journalist Tessa Dunlop, tells his story.
