Brazilian photographer Sebastiao Salgado talks to Carrie Gracie about how he uses his pictures to tell the big story of the social changes of our time.

The Brazilian photographer Sebastiao Salgado has become well known over the past 25 years for his epic images of people living on the margins.

He trained as an economist before being captivated by photography and has concentrated on major projects focusing on workers, migration and now the environment.

He tells Carrie Gracie that he uses his pictures to tell the bigger story of the social changes of our time.
