Prom 61 recorded at London's Royal Albert Hall includes performances of music from Duparc and Ravel.

This Prom concert features the lustrous tones of the renowned Czech mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená singing a handful of exquisite miniatures by the Frenchman Henri Duparc. She’s never committed these songs to disc, so this is a rare opportunity to hear her perform some real gems of the French song repertoire. And, best of all, she’s singing with the world-renowned Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra who are currently at their peak, in the hands of the great Latvian maestro Mariss Jansons. He and the orchestra complete the Prom with a suite from Ravel’s glorious ballet Daphnis and Chloe, a score that simply shimmers with orchestral colour.
