It’s nearly a year since the collapse of Lehman Brothers investment bank, and Rajan Datar talks to the editor of World Service Business Programmes about “Taking the Pulse”, in which financial programmes look at the differing effects of recession around the world.

Rajan also asks whether the World Service should be helping listeners who are learning English by choosing its vocabulary more carefully.
