Forced to resign as a university lecturer after an affair with a student, Prof David Lurie goes to his daughter's isolated farm. Their relationship is tested when he is viciously attacked and his daughter raped. Based on J.M. Coetzee's Booker winning novel set in post apartheid South Africa, The Strand discusses this film version of "Disgrace."
