Should China be regarded as a rich country, or a poor one? It may be one of the world's great economic players - but can it really help roll back the international financial crisis?
Is China rich or poor? It may seem an abstract question - but the answer matters. Because if China really has made the transition from developing to developed country. If it really is rich - some analysts think China could be the engine that drags the rest of the world out of the current economic crisis.
