The slow thaw in relations between Syria and Lebanon has given new hope to Lebanese families who believe their relatives are being held in Syrian jails. The BBC's Maha Barada in Lebanon hears their stories and we get a reaction from Jihad Makdissi from the Syrian embassy in London.
The northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh is at the forefront of the fight against polio. Outlook's Geeta Pandey reports on the inspiring story of Gulzar Saifi, who caught polio as a baby and now campaigns for polio eradication. His story is also told in the documentary, 'The Final Inch'.
Imitating the behaviour of gannets, New Zealander Matt Watson has staged a fishing stunt by launching himself out of a helicopter to wrestle with marlin. He tells Outlook's George Arney how - and why - he does it.
