Defying Gravity

Two teams touch down at the STARS space station to take on three scientific challenges to win out-of-this-world prizes. First, they must decide whether objects will float or sink in a water tank. Then, there’s a game based on sound and pitch as Sam and Ayo play a tune using three hidden jars filled with different volumes of water. The teams must then figure out which order the jars go in to make the tune. Finally, the teams must work out which season James is talking about by standing under the correct tree. If they’re right, they’ll get covered in spring blossom, summer sunlight, autumn leaves or winter snow!

In the lab, Ayo is challenged to defy gravity using just a cup, some water and a piece of card.
