Episode 4

Richard uses old phone books to demonstrate friction. In the blast lab the teams take it in turns to hang household objects from two small interleafed phone directories. Will the telephone books be able to hold the weight of an oil can or a fire extinguisher? Or will everything come crashing down in a heap?

Meanwhile, at Richard's top-secret testing zone, his loyal Lab Rats take this experiment one step further by attempting to lift a car off the ground - again with only two phone directories carrying the load.
