Why Don't We Eat Custard on Pizza?
The truth about what we eat. Roast beef and gravy, fish and chips. Some food combinations are classics. But what happens when tastes clash?
Food fanatic Stefan Gates and his intrepid Gastronuts go on another wild culinary adventure to discover the truth about how we eat, what we eat and where it comes from. Along the way they indulge in hare-brained experiments, crazy cooking and eat the world's weirdest food from scorpions to pigs' ears.
Some foods seem born to be together: roast beef and gravy, fish and chips, and chocolate with almost anything. What makes them combine so well, what happens when foods clash, and can we make and break the rules of food? In an effort to find out, Stefan and the Gastronuts eat the world's weirdest combinations, cook with a steam roller and make a strange sandwich.
