Alex and Zoe stumble upon a magic portal in the library and are transported to the world of Animalia, where animals can talk. Animalia is ruled by the Core, a massive organic orb. It is malfunctioning of late, bringing instability to the kingdom. An important message is incorrectly communicated. The kids struggle to discover the truth about Livingstone's disappearance.
