The Curse of the Mashamana

Prehistoric fantasy. 12-year-old Pitt and his pterodactyl pal Kantrop try to help their tribe. Prosper's ability as a shaman is questioned. To regain prestige, and food offerings, he predicts a curse on the tribe, and stages evidence of a rampaging monster. Once Prosper is back in favour with everyone, except Pitt who figured out the hoax, he dispels the creature for a good price.

Pitt then discovers a giant crocodile and warns his tribe, but they don't believe him. How can Pitt get his overconfident tribe out of harm's way?
