BBC Red Button launched more than 10 years ago and is currently used by 12 million people a week. Pressing the red button on any BBC digital TV channel (available on Freeview, Freesat, Sky or Virgin Media) gives free access to a whole host of extra entertainment and nformation.
As well as the latest news, sport and weather, there's lots of other fresh content ranging from digital text services such as travel information or lottery results, to great extras and enhancements to favourite BBC shows. There may be exclusive music sessions, play-along quizzes or chances to select different live events – some with alternative audio commentaries – or access to behind-the-scenes video.
Now, all Freesat viewers (both broadcast and IP connected boxes) can access single stream video services, meaning they can enjoy a wider range of BBC Red Button video-based services. More information is available here: BBC Red Button video service arrives on Freesat.
