BBC Arabic launches phone-in programme
BBC Arabic Service launches a new phone-in programme, Nuqtat Hiwar (Talking Point).
Starting on Wednesday 26 March, and broadcast after the 1000 GMT News, Monday through Friday, the programme offers a forum for exchange of opinion on specific topics.
The first edition of Nuqtat Hiwar will present listeners' views on the war in Iraq.
Presented by Hosam el-Sokkari, the programme invites listeners of the BBC Arabic Service and visitors to its online site - bbcarabic.com - to participate in the programme by sending their phone number and their input to arabic.debate@bbc.co.uk
