Do I need to be aware of different communication styles?Mitali: Now that I’m working in England, I am often worried about the way I appear to my colleagues in the office. My problem is that in my country we like to speak very directly about subjects, but I have the feeling that in England this is not so. I would like to know if other people have similar experiences to this.
Ang Lee: For the Chinese... you tell people what you want to do. Nobody discusses it with you. And I grew up in such a way that I was taking orders all my life until I was old enough to give orders. So to communicate with actors... wasn’t really my thing.
