Appraisals: You get feedback

Woman: The point of an appraisal is to assess your strengths and weaknesses, so that a person gets feedback and knows whether they’re doing a good job or a bad job.

Man: So that the people who are not your direct managers have some kind of idea of whether you’re a good employee or a bad employee.

Woman: It’s just to give feedback to the members of staff and say how well they’re actually doing and if there’s any points that need addressing, that’s the time then when it will happen.
