As you might expect from the Oxford Revue this is very funny night out.

Well, evening’s entertainment might be stretching it a little as it only lasts 35 minutes.

Still it’s the quality not the quantity that matters. A subject that many can identify with as it concerns not fitting in to society’s narrow view of the world.

The current Oxford Revue President Rose Heiney has written a marvellous monologue, which is reminiscent of a young Dawn French. May her comedy career grow as big.

This is a brilliantly original show starring the excellent Charlie Covell. Her comic timing and expressive face add to the merriment.

Praise must also go to Polly Findlay as director, for her bold use of the space. While John Larkey the sole male in the company, operates the lighting with a fine touch.

The intimacy of the set design and seating arrangements help create an atmosphere where the secrets of this bedroom can be revealed.

You don’t have to be a public school educated university student to enjoy this show, but it helps. Who knew they ever had it so bad!
