Brill Windmill is actually in Buckinghamshire but looks over the county. It is 600 feet above sea level and was built around 1680.

The first round house was added in 1865 and the present one was built in 1948.

The milling of barely ceased in 1919 with the introduction of modern machines which could produce 7000lb of flour per hour instead of the 180lb per hour that the windmill produced.

When it snows Brill Hill is a popular place to go tobogganing and when the sun shines it is a great place to fly a kite.
