Maurice is developing a samba song for the local schools involved in the 2003 Cowley Road Carnival and is co-ordinating an artist, choreographer and musician to help the children get into gear. "A while back I thought about what we could do at Donnington Middle School because we're closing in the summer. "Having been a music teacher in the past, I thought it would be quite nice to do something artistic, something the kids could enjoy and mark the end of school life here. "We're in a partnership with 14 other schools and have worked closely with each other and are planning for the future. "We've got nine schools that are taking part and there will be lots of children involved - we will sing a song and do a dance for three minutes and then join the procession and let the children enjoy the day.
