It might not seem like the ideal place to come to seek out the local wildlife but the landfill site at Ardley near Bicester appears to have quite a rich diversity of species that have made it their home.

Lee O'Dwyer is a landfill gas technician but his hobby is photography and when he brought his camera into work early in the morning he was rewarded with some amazing photos.

Ardley is part active and part restored. That means that when one area of the landfill site is full, it is covered with top soil and seeded so that grass will grow. Trees are planted around the edges which can attract certain animals.
