There are some things that will always be popular amongst certain sections of the community. Bowls is one. Knowing nothing about it I ventured to a local club to find out more!

Did you know that in Oxfordshire we have a leading figure in the world of Bowls?

No!? (why would you?)

Yet we do! Only the English Ladies Captain...

I've been to see the boys and girls at the Oxford City & County Bowls Club in Summertown. It's a fantastic facility for Bowls, both inside and out!

Now I always thought that Bowls was for, well, "the older generation" and I still don't think I'm entirely wrong. However with the help of Alan, Terry, Liz and Rosemary, I was guided through all the different aspects of the game and what the club offers!

It's all a load of old Bowls! >
