My Thursdays out in the BBC Oxford Radio Car are often full of fun and surprises, so I wasn’t too put off at finding some wellington boots and a BBC risk assessment form on my desk when I came into work on 23rd February.
Danny Cox had challenged me to go and help out at Jim and Teresa Clarke's Lakeside Town Farm near Thame. Jim's family have been there for over 50 years and they now have three herds of cattle.
After a chat about life as a farmer, he gave me a safety briefing, asked me to put on some overalls and took me out into the farmyard where he and his wife Teresa had worked out some tasks for me to do.
