Moon Radio has hosted a range of commissions and films as part of their programme of events, these have included local, national and international artists.
For the Rose Tinted TV event we have commissioned local artists Steven Sheil, Ruby Digital Arts - Jeanie Finlay and AV_DV - Jim Boxhall and Jon Gillie who are working with film, video, audio and digital media towards broadcasting on the Moon Radio channel.
Jeanie Finlay has produced a series of film shorts entitled 'When was the Last Time You Said I love you?' An exploration of the love stories of strangers, told through the voices of older people. Scripted from over 200 anonymous responses to an online questionnaire distributed by artist Jeanie Finlay through the digital arts project Tea-Toast-Technology (T3), the films challenge our preconceptions about age, sex and relationships. The films will be released at regular intervals throughout the Saturday programme.
'Charlie Why - Mystery Ends In A Why Broadcast' by Steven Sheil, a film maker based at Broadway Media Centre and course leader for the foundation course at Intermedia Film and Video. Active Ingredient has just received Regional Arts Lottery Funding to develop the Moon Radio webTV channel. Over the next year we will be continuing to host a programme of events, offering three bursaries for artists to develop a project for broadcast on the channel and running a five day workshop for artists and media producers to collaborate on a project and learn about Internet broadcast. We will also be developing the channel and website, working with other media organisation and artists to build an exciting range of content. |
