BBC Music Live is inviting schools in the area to write and perform a 'Song for the Golden Jubilee'. So if you are a budding musician, have a great singing voice, or know some great lyrics...
this could be the competition for you! All you have to do is perform an original song on one or more of the following themes: - The Golden Jubilee
- The last 50 years of the United Kingdom
- The next 50 years of the United Kingdom
And win yourself the chance to appear on BBC One! The song You can write the song yourself in school or you, your band or your choir can perform any suitable song written by anyone else. However the music and lyrics must be original and unpublished and the song must be performed by pupils attending your school aged 18 years or under.  | | You could be performing live at the BBC Music Live event |
Prize All finalists will appear on BBC East Midlands Today, BBC Radio Nottingham and here on our web site. Viewers, listeners and our users will be all be asked to vote for an overall winner.
Finalists will be offered the chance to perform live on stage on Music Live Day, Monday 3rd June 2002.
