The Works is situated on the site of Nottingham's newest entertainment zone, the Cornerhouse, right in the heart of the city.

As you head down the steps into the multi-level metal landings inside the venue, you soon realise this is a nightclub with noise!

Several of the outfits on show would not have looked out of place on that particular island either.

The lighting includes a searing green laser show as seen on special effects movies such as Independence Day. The mainly 18-to-24-year-olds in the audience lapped it up.
