After listening to Colins voice for over 30 years, I finally got to briefly chat with the great man at the recent away draw at Barnet. Like us all - he has clearly aged from when I first recall seeing him when I used to stand in County Road Stand as a teenager in the early 70's We chatted briefly and he was every bit the gentleman I alway thought he was. I can now boast that i shook hands with the great Colin Slater. Keep up the good work and I look forward to listen to your post match report via this website.

As a die hard, life long Forest supporter I would like to congratulate Colin Salter on this achievement. I have always envied the insight he has had into the affairs at NCFC which he as able to bring to the airwaves to the benefit of Notts fans. Forest reporters on Radio Nottingham have come and gone over the years and we have never had anyone who has been able to be 'in the know' like Colin.

Having supported Notts since 1950 i have seen Lawton & Sewell play for Nott's. Sadly I heard Colin say he had not,How would he have commentated on those two stars, what little Slaterism would he have employed to describe them. Commentary on The Pie's with out Colin's dulcite tones is unthinkable comparable only with Peaches without Cream.Well done Colin Congratulations now for the next 2,000.
