Nottingham-based Love Ends Disaster's single 'Ladders' only took a week to sell out. Admittedly they didn't produce too many copies, but the popularity of the single made the band's record label 'Yellow Noise' made it available as a free download. Despite this, the band are not worried about the loss of revenue. "We just want as many people to hear us [as possible], we're not quite Coldplay yet!" Love Ends Disaster, whose influences include Bob Dylan, Oscar Wilde and Japanese novelist Haruki Murakami, are building up a good reputation. They've been played by Colin Murray on Radio One, John Kennedy on XFM and heard on Kerrang radio. Bloc Party even tipped them to be big this year. The band were recently invited to play at The Metro on Oxford Street where the big labels and music press were gathered. However, like many "best laid plans", they hit problems. "During our journey down there the car broke down... It meant we missed the whole sound check. We turned up, plugged in, bashed a few songs out and went home, so we have no idea how well it went!"
