Travis are to play at Sherwood Pines Forest Park near Clipstone, Nottinghamshire, on Saturday 30 June 2007. They are to be supported by The Hours. Organisers anticipate a sell-out 5,000 crowd in the 3,000 acre beauty spot, near Edwinstowe. Summer gigs in the Forest began in 2001. Since then the venue has played host to the Beautiful South, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Motorhead and Level 42. ![]() The Hours The gig will be supporting the Forestry Commission's social and environmental programmes with money raised being used to care for woodlands in the East Midlands. Who are Travis?Travis is a five-piece indie rock band from Scotland, comprising of Fran Healy, Dougie Payne, Andy Dunlop and Neil Primrose. Travis formed in 1990, released their first album in 1997 and their fifth, The Boy With No Name, is due for release this summer. They've twice been awarded British album of the year at the Brit Awards - The Man Who in 2000 and The Invisible Band in 2001. In 2005 Travis performed at Live 8 and also participated in Band Aid 20's re-recording of "Do They Know It's Christmas?"
