Since Angel Row Gallery opened in 1991 it has gained a significant national and growing international reputation, and is regarded by Arts Council England as 'the East Midlands' flagship contemporary arts venue'.
The scope of the programme is broad, reflecting the diversity of trends within contemporary visual art practice.
All work shown is by living artists who are working in a dynamic and often experimental way. The gallery shows approximately 15 contemporary exhibitions a year, each running for six to eight weeks, with often two or three exhibitions showing simultaneously.
