Barbara has no formal training in the arts but always having had a passion for classical sculpture and especially the female form.

She felt a compelled and driven to increase her knowledge and to try to create herself pieces using various forms, techniques and mediums

A latent talent emerged and though eight years of trial and error has now mastered the various media.

She crafts pieces in various types of clay, plaster, resin, cement and bronze as well as carving in slate and stone.

Though much of her work consists of creating commissioned portrait busts, finished in bronze or resin but her first and foremost love will always be creating a female form figure

She believes that the Female figure is always the most important shape in the universe. "It is what has formed us all."

Her sculptures are celebrations of the female form.

They examine the phenomena of grace, possess a quiet strength and powerful gentleness and create a sense of presence within themselves - requiring the viewer to accept them as a measure of his/her own immortality.

She works mostly on a commission basis and is willing to discuss the particular wishes of any client.
