BBC Radio York's Adam Tomlinson spoke to Shayne ahead of his first solo arena tour of the UK... Shayne Ward is another in a long line of 'wannabes' catapulted into fame by a TV talent show. But, after winning 'The X Factor' in 2005, having that year's Christmas number one and a hit debut album he slipped out of the limelight for a little while. He was born in Manchester in 1984 and although he's only 23, life has been a whirlwind for Shayne Ward. He spoke to BBC Radio York's Adam Tomlinson about his new album, arena tour, 'The X Factor' and how winning has changed his life.
