First record bought: 'The Night Chicago Died' by Paper Lace. I remember it was on the Bus Stop record label. First job: Apart from being a Paper Boy as a kid, I was a petrol-pump attendant when at university. Little known fact about yourself: I have never, ever, eaten a strawberry! Favourite food and drink: Food – pasta, drink – doubles. Favourite place in the world: Las Vegas. Favourite place in North Yorkshire: York Minster, simply awesome. Any pet hates: Loads, including roundabouts with traffic lights on, people who say "not three bad”, celery, Jens Lehman, late-night TV phone-in quiz shows, fruit infusion tea, Elton John, Z-list celebrities and WAGs, the packaging on CDs, Ayen Robben...I could go on forever! What would your desert island luxury be: Ray Mears. Most embarrassing radio moment: Due to a technical error (my incompetence) I once gave away a luxury, all-inclusive holiday for 2 to Australia to a woman who hadn’t actually won it. Best radio moment: The pay cheque Who would be your dream co-presenter: Danny Baker, a radio genius.
