Julie is 54 years old and got into stand-up comedy in 2005. It was almost by accident, she says: "I was fed up and I thought doing Jon Reed's comedy evening class would cheer me up. I only went to learn how to write, but our group (which included David Palethorpe and Dave McCue) gelled really well, and we all stayed in touch and have since done a few gigs together". I've done about 10 gigs locally, in Teeside, Bedford, Bridlington and Middleborough.
