Unlike most of our student diarists, Kate's not new to York - she's from the city! But she will be new to Edinburgh Uni, where's she's going after her gap year. Read on to discover Kate's plans - and in turn, what to expect to see in her diaries...
My name is Kate Roberts and I am 19. I come from York originally (Badger Hill area), I studied at Fulford comprehensive school. I am currently still at home in York on a gap year of work and travel before I go to Edinburgh university this coming September to study Geography and Geology. During my gap year I am travelling to five different countries on five separate placements - and am looking forward to writing about them, as well as my experiences of working at York House mental rehabilitation hospital as my full time job.
