WANTED - Your WWI stories for new history book. The families of the heroic Portstewart men who died during World war One are being sought by local wartime historian Robert Thompson. Robert is researching the stories of the men from the town who left their north coast homes and went to fight in the Great War. He hopes to have a book on the subject published later this year and he has already visited the graves of many of the men where they were killed in Belgium and France. Robert would also like to talk to the relatives of these men and record the stories of their loved ones. Robert has completed similar projects and published books on the World War One fallen heroes of Bushmills, Ballymoney, Portrush and Coleraine. He also edited a volume on the same theme for Kilrea.
